Learning outcomes:

Before starting their internships, MBA students should have defined learning and performance goals. On average, according to empirical research, they are oriented towards competency, company, and career learning than towards outperforming peers or avoiding poor performance outcomes.
After completing their internships, students should learn about the company or career in which they interned, and learned less in terms of job skills development. They also learn more hard–skills than soft–skills; they learn more about quantitative analysis than negotiation.
The following are the general and specific learning outcomes:

  • Hard skills (skills that are necessary for a job or role)
  • Soft skills (communication skills, emotional intelligence, problem-solving skills, adaptability…)
  • Competency learning
  • Learning about the company
  • Career learning
