USE IPM - study visit to London
The first group of researchers, stayed in London from August 27th to 31st, 2024, during the second part of their study visit to the United Kingdom as part of the USE IPM projects planned activities outlined in Work Package 1.
In the first group, in front of the CPME - Center for Project Management and Entrepreneurship of the Faculty of Economics of the University of Banja Luka, there were assistant professor Mirjana Milijević, PhD; assistant professor Ljubiša Mićić, PhD; senior teaching assistant Jadranka Petrović, PhD; and teaching assistant Milica Marić, MA. Currently in the United Kingdom are full professor Saša Petković PhD and foreign language professor Milica Bogdanović, PhD.
The partner of this study visit is ISPIM – the International Society for Professional Innovation Management (https://www.ispim-innovation.com) from the United Kingdom, which organized educational activities in the field of innovation management, along with visits to companies, institutions supporting entrepreneurship and innovation development, and universities.
During their stay in London, project participants had the opportunity to visit several universities and centers that focus on student career development and student entrepreneurship. One of the most notable visits was the one to MDX Works (https://libguides.mdx.ac.uk/employability/mdxworks) at Middlesex University (https://www.mdx.ac.uk), a specialized center dedicated to student career development, student entrepreneurship, innovation development, and commercialization. In addition to this center, the participants visited the Middlesex University library and became familiar with the databases that students and staff at this university can use for research and entrepreneurial ventures.
The participants also visited the University of East London (https://www.uel.ac.uk), where the host was professor Shampa Roy-Mukherjee, vice dean of Royal Docks School of Business and Law (https://www.uel.ac.uk/about/our-schools/royal-docks-school-business-law), with which the Faculty of Economics at the University of Banja Luka has excellent cooperation. Among other things, the professor frequently mentioned the participation of professors from this university in the REDETE conference and expressed a desire to deepen the collaboration. She has also participated in the REDETE conference on several occasions and had the opportunity to visit Banja Luka once. Professor Roy-Mukherjee gave the participants a tour of the university and introduced them to the services this higher education institution offers to students and staff: from the student career zone, through the "tax clinic," to the legal advisory center.

USE IPM - study visit to Manchester
The first group of researchers within the USE IPM project is in the United Kingdom, on a study visit from 17-31 August 2024, as part of the planned project activities foreseen in work package 1. The first group of researchers will stay in Manchester and London, and the second group of researchers will stay in Manchester and Liverpool, from August 31st until September 9th, 2024. In the first group, in front of the CPME - Center for Project Management and Entrepreneurship of the Faculty of Economics of the University of Banja Luka, there are Assoc. Ph.D. Ljubiša Mićić, Assoc. Dr. Mirjana Milijević, Dr. Jadranka Petrović, senior assistant, and Milica Marić, MA, assistant.
The partner in this activity is ISPIM - the International Society for Professional Innovation Management (https://www.ispim-innovation.com) from the United Kingdom, which organized educational activities in the field of innovation management and visits to companies, institutions supporting the development of entrepreneurship and innovation, and universities.
During the first week in Manchester, project participants had a dynamic and educational introductory lecture on innovation and science policy, as well as the local business environment. On Monday, August 19th, after their arrival, ISPIM representatives held a presentation, which was focused on assigning tasks to researchers from BiH, Serbia, North Macedonia and Albania, related to research and design of programs for building bridges between the academic community and business (A2B). The researcher also took part in a walking tour of Manchester, led by Jonathan Schofield, which focused on the city's rich industrial history and its current role as a center for innovation.
On Tuesday, August 20th, participants delved deeper into the academic side of innovation through a visit to the Manchester Institute for Innovation Research (MIOIR), where experts such as Professor Elvira Ujarra, Kieron Flanagan and Khaleel Malik introduced them to the basics of UK science and technology policy. In the afternoon, they met with representatives of MIDAS, Manchester's Investment and Development Agency, to learn more about the city's initiatives in life sciences and healthcare. This gave them an insight into Manchester's business environment, particularly in sectors relevant to innovation and technological growth.
The rest of the week was filled with various visits and workshops, with the aim of providing participants with practical examples of the commercialization of innovations in practice. On Wednesday, 21.08. researchers visited the Manchester Fuel Cell Innovation Centre, the Manchester Metropolitan University Business School as well as Innospace, a business incubator at this university. These experiences were complemented by interactive workshops on innovation management systems and technology transfer on Thursday and Friday, led by distinguished professor John Bessant. Through these workshops, participants gained a comprehensive understanding of Manchester's innovation ecosystem and its application in real-world contexts.

Focus group: “Challenges and Opportunities of the Technology Transfer and Sustainable Entrepreneurship in Open Innovation Ecosystem in Developing Transitional Economies” – USE IPM project
A research team from the Center for Project Management and Entrepreneurship of the Faculty of Economics at the University of Banja Luka, led by Full Professor Sasa Petkovic, PhD, has organized a focus group on July 3rd 2024 with experts in the field of technology transfer and sustainable entrepreneurship. Qualitative research through a focus group aimed to assess the ecosystem of open innovation in Bosnia and Herzegovina. Also, the goal of the research was to identify the challenges of technology transfer and sustainable entrepreneurship in the country, as well as the assessment of the state of regulation of intellectual property protection. The research results will be used for further implementation of the project "Up-skilling researchers for Sustainable Entrepreneurship based on Innovation Process Management - USE IPM".
The group of experts consisted of: prof. Presentations “Key components of study visit to Belgium: key learning points Leuven and Brussels”
21st of May 2024 and 3rd of June 2024
After return from the study visit to Belgium, participants have presented key componentс and learning point from the visit. Firstly, on the 21st of May 2024, starting at 11 AM, Senior Teaching Assistant Jadranka Petrović, PhD and Teaching Assistant, Milica Marić, gave a presentation on the key components of the study visit to Belgium. After the second secondments, on Monday, 3rd of June 2024, starting at 11 AM, four other researchers participating in the second group of study visit to Belgium presented their key learning points from the visit: Full professor Saša Petković, PhD, Assistant Professor, Mirjana Milijević, PhD, Assistant Professor, Ljubiša Mićić, PhD and Professor Milica Bogdanović, PhD.
Both presentations were organized in room 303 of the Faculty of Economics, University of Banja Luka and it consisted of key learning components to Belgium.
Local partner for the Belgium was SME4space, an association of small and medium enterprises specialize in space industry. They have organized several workshops on themes such are space economy, IP, innovation economy, space education and space SME incubation centers. Additionally, researchers have presented key learning points of the visits to institutions and organizations in Brussels including visits to Marche Region Delegation to EU, University di Bolzano, APRE – Agency for the Promotion of the European Research, BeCentral coworking space and Korn Ferry consulting company.

USE IPM project – implemented study visit to Brussels
The second group of researchers within the USE IPM project has been in Brussels, Belgium, as a part of the study visit from 20th until 25th of May 2024. The visit was part of the activities of work package 1. In the second group of researchers in front of the CPME - Center for Project Management and Entrepreneurship of the Faculty of Economics of the University of Banja Luka participated group of researchers led by the project manager, prof. Saša Petković, PhD, assistant professor Ljubiša Mićić, assistant professor Mirjana Milijević, and Milica Bogdanović, Ph.D.
The visit included tours and meetings at the Agency for the Promotion of European Research - APRE (https://apre.it/en/homepage), the Office of the National Research Council of Italy CNR (https://www.cnr.it/en) as well as to the Marche Region office in Brussels (https://www.regione.marche.it/Entra-in-Regione/Delegazione-Bruxelles/La-sede#La-sede) where the University of Ancona is located, with which our faculty has partner relations. In addition, participants visited digital campus, collaborative space BeCentral in the Brussels city center (https://www.becentral.org), as well as leading global HR consulting company in the field of HR, Korn Ferry (https://www.kornferry.com).

Study visit of a group of researchers from the Faculty of Economics to Leuven and Brussels as part of the USE IPM project
The second group of researchers within the USE IPM project is in Belgium, on a study visit from 10th until 25th of May 2024, as part of the activities of work package 1. In the second group of researchers in front of the CPME - Center for Project Management and Entrepreneurship of the Faculty of Economics of the University of Banja Luka in Leuven and Brussels, there is a group of researchers led by the project manager, prof. Saša Petković, PhD among whom are assistant professor Ljubiša Mićić, assistant professor Mirjana Milijević, and Milica Bogdanović, Ph.D. In the first group of researchers, in the period from 27th of April to 11th of May, through the same program, Jadranka Petrović, PhD, senior assistant, and Milica Marić, MA, assistant.
The partner in this activity is SME4Space, an association of small and medium-sized companies specialized in the space industry, i.e. business based on the use of satellite and other space-related technologies. The study visit includes educational activities as well as a visit and tour of the University of Leuven, the leading university in Belgium and beyond.
The host organization organized several specialized trainings for participants on different topics: from a general introduction to space and space economy as a specific industry, to trainings related to STEM education, innovation, entrepreneurship, IPR protection and entrepreneurial innovation infrastructure.

Focus group research on “Sustainability and Sustainability Reporting”– USE IPM project
A research team from the Faculty of Economics at the University of Banja Luka, led by Full Professor Sasa Petkovic, PhD, has organized a focus group with sustainability experts on 19th of March 2024. Research through a focus group was aimed at assessing various aspects of sustainability: from ecological and economic to social aspects, as well as examples of good practice and challenges in this domain. Also, the aim of the research was to identify examples of the application of activities in the domain of the circular economy as well as ESG reporting. The results of the research will be used for the further implementation of the project "Up-skilling researchers for Sustainable Entrepreneurship based on Innovation Process Management" - USE IPM.
The group consisted of: Mr. Perica Rajčević, PhD, from Addiko Bank, Mr. Branko Kecman and Mrs. Tanja Šebez from Advantis Broker, Mr. Saša Ačić from the Employers' Association of the RepublikaSrpska, Associate Professor Dušica Pešević, PhD from the Faculty of Science and Mathematics of the University of Banja Luka, Mr. Branislav Blagojević from Vector Advisory and Mr. Milan Šajinović from NLB Bank.

More than 130 young people participated in the workshop:
CPME - Center for Project Management and Entrepreneurship of the Faculty of Economics of the University of Banja Luka in cooperation with the STAR.studi platform organized an education on Thursday, March 14, 2024 on the topic: "What are the jobs of the future and how to develop your career?".
Jan Z. Kulenović, guest lecturer, social innovator with more than 20 years of experience in empowering young people on the labor market and consultant for more than 50 international organizations and companies, held an inspiring interactive lecture on the jobs of the future and the importance of soft skills and entrepreneurial competencies as part of the concept of lifelong learning . Education was opened by prof. Saša Petković, Ph.D., presented the activities of CPME and the basic goals of the USE IPM project.
This education is a continuation of our activities to promote the importance of "soft" skills that young people should possess for the jobs of the future within the project "Up-skilling researchers for Sustainable Entrepreneurship based on Innovation Process Management - USE IPM", supported by the European Union (HORIZON-VIDERA-2022-TALENTS-03-01).

On 5th of February 2024, starting at 12PM, second group of professors who visited Arezzo gave a presentation on the key components of the study visit to Arezzo, Italy. The presentation was organized in room 303 of the Faculty of Economics, University of Banja Luka and it consisted of key learning components of the second round of Secondments to the Arezzo. The study visit was coordinated by a local partner in Arezzo, OpenCom organization, which organized several activities and ground visits. As a part of the study visit, participants from the Center for Project Management and Entrepreneurship, together with other participants from Serbia, North Macedonia, and Albania, have visited several institutions and organizations connected to entrepreneurship, project management, education, and other relevant topics. Among other activities, the study visit included visits to the University of Siena, where participants participated in the final conference of the project T.E.S.T. and the University of Florence, where our participants also had some presentations and meetings with professors from this university. Additionally, as a part of the study visits, there have been organized trainings on "Project Management and the PRINCE2 Method” and ““Sustainability Reporting and Related Software.". The visit also included visits to companies such as Estra Spa Holding and AISA Impianti. USE IPM project – study visit to Arezzo of the second researchers’ group from the Faculty of Economics, University of Banja Luka
The second group of researchers within the USE IPM project is participating in a study visit in Arezzo, Italy, from 12/13th to 26/27th of January 2024, as part of the activities planned in working package1. In the second group, CPME – Center for Project Management and Entrepreneurships of the Faculty of Economics is represented by project manager, professor Saša Petković, PhD and other researchers Assistant Professor Ljubiša Mićić, PhD; Assistant Professor Mirjana Milijević, PhD; Teaching Assistant, Jadranka Petrović, PhD and Foreign language professor Milica Bogdanović, PhD.
The partner in this activity is OpenCom, which organized a series of activities in the first working week.
So far, the activities have included study visits to companies, participation in conferences, as well as specific thematic trainings.
The researchers visited the University of Florence, where they were welcomed by prof. dr. Giorgia Giovannetti, vice president for international cooperation. During the visit, a thematic conference was held where all researchers from the Faculty of Economics of the University of Banja Luka presented their research. In addition, the researchers visited the University of Siena, and on that occasion, they visited the Santa Chiara laboratory, which specializes in sustainable development.
Visits to the companies Estra SpA and AISA Impianti factories were also organized for the participants, during which the participants learned about their approach to sustainable business.
