(Register here, read the Agenda)
The workshop aims to showcase the best practice of the Youth Games, which can easily be replicated as a means of cooperation, intercultural dialogue and fraternity between different countries.
Sport is an empowering action, both physical and mental, that "naturally" brings people together, also from different countries. Young people use sport as an universal language: with its rules, which are the same for all, it makes it easier to spend time together, even when you come from different countries and cultures. Sport is a healthy form of competition that can easily become a means of communication. It is more important than ever that, at this historical moment, young people meet and share ideas. FAIC (Forum of the Adriatic and Ionian Cities) is the organizer of this workshop.

City Internship 2021 - Open Call for Students
Summer Programs (closing soon)
We anticipate all summer programs will be full and closed to new applicants within a month (with in-person programs on course to reach capacity sooner than remote ones). Interested students are encouraged to apply sooner rather than later: www.city-internships.com/apply/
Student Aid
Interested students are encouraged to calculate (and secure) their student aid award at the earliest opportunity: 2020/21 CI Student Aid Calculator. We have replenished our Student Aid fund to a level that should comfortably provide financial assistance to every CI student for the remainder of this academic year (and perhaps the next one).
Student Outcomes & Academic Partnerships
As an organization spanning education, work experience, and overseas travel, we had braced ourselves for a trepidatious 12-months or so. However, though few of our peers have survived intact or at all, we find ourselves in reasonable shape, almost exclusively thanks to a now decade-old decision. When we created CI, in 2011, we set out to tie our funding model to the mutual employment outcomes achieved by our alumni and our partner employers. We were motivated to produce a viable funding model that (1) made effective experiential education and career-readiness training more accessible to more students, (2) that more equitably split the costs of experiential education between the beneficiaries and, crucially, (3) that more closely aligned the interests and incentives of all players (us and participating students and employers) and produced a program driven by quality (of experience and outcomes) over quantity (of students).) Despite the pandemic, the hiring of CI alumni has continued unabated. Moreover, we increasingly find ourselves the recipient of inquiries from post-secondary educators keen to direct more attention and exercise greater influence over their students’ employment outcomes.
